The essay “The Dream of the Earth: Our Way Into  the Future” is chapter 15 of Thomas Berry’s 1988 book The Dream of the Earth. For me it is an inexhaustible touchstone of inspiration for a life dedicated to deeply healing the earth-human bond. I wish there was an online or e-book version I could point you to, but alas, as I write, no such thing exists. I use my print copy of the book. 

For my 2011 Personal Essay class I wrote a piece entitled Called by The Dream of the Earth.
