From Living the New Story – Series 4

Michael Lindfield is a former Trustee and Education Director of the Findhorn Foundation and long-time Fellow. He is President of  Meditation Mount in Ojai, California. Michael is a highly regarded consultant and coach with over 45 years of international experience in unleashing the creativity of the human spirit to meet the needs of our times and the call of the future. He served as a senior organisation development consultant with The Boeing Company from 1989-2005 and is author of The Dance of Change: an Eco-Spiritual Approach to Transformation plus numerous articles featured in psychology, education and business journals. He is co-founder of The Science of Group Work Initiative and a member of the Community of Living Ethics in Umbria, Italy.

Questions for ongoing reflection and dialogue

1-What light-filled dreams from the subtle realms are seeking to manifest through the ‘White Hole’ of your incarnated Self? (The white hole is the Divine Seed or portal through which Light can be poured and brought to Earth.)What is the unique promise contained in this Divine Seed and what soil conditions are needed for it to germinate and grow?

 2-What is your experience of life when your portal to the subtle realms is closed?What is your experience of life when your portal to the subtle realms is open?

Describe each state of being in as much detail as possible, capturing your thoughts, feelings, emotions, as well as the quality of your relationship with yourself, with others and with Nature and the Cosmos.

 3-Michael contends that through our words and our intent, “We sentence things to life through magical formulas.” Over the coming days and weeks, begin to monitor your language and the intent behind it, in interactions with others, with yourself and with Gaia (the living Earth). Notice the intent, content and tone of your self-talk. What spells are you consciously casting and what effect are they having? If, as Michael posits, ‘white magic’ is the use of universal energy to serve the whole, recall a recent time when you were aware of consciously practising magic with the intention of serving the whole. How did it feel to be in alignment and serve from a place of love and wholeness?

What spells are you perhaps unconsciously casting that through conscious awareness and self-monitoring you would like to change?

 4-How can you contribute to bringing forth ‘The Fire of Love’ in your own life, to those around you, and ultimately out into the world?

 5-Embark on the following exercise once you have responded to all the previous session questions.Michael gave us his version of our creation story, our great myth, our New Story. What is your version?

Take time to tune in to your own personal version based on all you have learned throughout the journey up to this halfway point and write your version of your own great epoch, in your own words. As Michael shared, the New Story is really a magical formula; the place where myth, magic and miracles meet, so be sure to expand your consciousness to reflect that meeting place.

Look back over your ‘Myth, Magic & Miracles’ journal and allow your myth to be informed by your insights and responses to the ‘Questions for ongoing reflection and dialogue’ contained in our previous sessions. For example, take a deep dive inside your inner imaginarium and include the revelations from the images you worked with in Session 3. Remember, you are the storyteller, the coauthor, the scriptwriter, and the cocreator – and that is the magic!
