The Work That Reconnects evolved  from Joanna Macy’s Despair and Personal Empowerment workshops. I first engaged with it when I did the Active Hope online course. The book Active Hope makes the work accessible for people who haven’t been able to participate in an intensive Work That Reconnects retreat. Both teach how to participate in and contribute to The Great Turning.
